In the heart of Antigua Guatemala, against the backdrop of the stunning Conceptio venue, Sam and Payton celebrated their love in a Guatemala wedding that was nothing short of magical. Sam and Payton, both resident doctors, crossed paths through mutual friends and shared a deep connection from the start. Their love radiated through every moment of their wedding day, showcasing the admiration and bond they shared. Surrounded by a faithful inner circle, their love story touched the hearts of everyone present.

Tailoring the Guest Experience

For Sam, Guatemala held a special place in her heart. Having grown up visiting the country during her mother's medical mission trips, she wanted to share her unique experiences with her loved ones. What a better way than Antigua Guatemala becoming the chosen wedding destination to witness the sealing of their love pact.

Our suggestions, of opting for live musicians for ceremony and reception instead of a DJ, added significant value and created a much more intimate guest experience. The ceremony and toast became emotional as friends and family shared their experiences witnessing Sam and Payton's love story unfold. The wedding day exuded authenticity and heartfelt emotion, it was a touching event that left a lasting impact on everyone present.

Venue Selection:

This couple had a clear vision for their wedding venue. They wanted to create a meaningful and intentional experience for themselves and their guests. Their desire was to have an outdoor ceremony with the stunning volcanoes as a backdrop. Choosing the Conceptio venue was a deliberate decision by Sam and Payton just after our first wedding planning consultation.

The venue provided the perfect setting for an intimate gathering. The tasteful outdoor design, spectacular views of the volcanoes, outstanding service, and luxurious architecture provided the ideal setting for their intimate ceremony. The intimate guest list created a joyous atmosphere, making it a memorable experience for everyone involved.

Our Wedding Design Contribution:

As their Guatemala wedding planner and designers, we collaborated with the couple to bring their unique ideas to life. We offered a comprehensive wedding design consultation, where we arrived at a sophisticated blend of the three styles that resonated most with the couple: rustic, opulent, and contemporary. Opulence was achieved through the floral selection at Flor Morena and the incorporation of different textures and heights on the tablescape. We maintained a contemporary feel by keeping details minimal and emphasizing clean lines in the chair and tableware selection. Finally, the choice of dark wood furniture completed the look with a rustic touch.

The modern and edgy decor seamlessly blended with the European colonial architecture of the venue, creating a unique and stylish ambiance. The color palette, inspired by winter tones, featured burgundy with accents of rose and dark orange hues, perfectly capturing the essence of their end-of-year celebration. At the grand entrance, guests were awed about the talent and landscape in Guatemala.

Our Photography Contribution:

Sam and Payton fell in love with the idea of using Guatemala's breathtaking landscapes as the stage for their elopement / intimate wedding. To make their dream a reality, and to ensure every couple's vision comes to life, our lead wedding planner is a professional photographer who knows exactly what captures hearts. Carolina bridges the gap between our couples' desires and the expertise of the official photographer and videographer. This is especially beneficial for international teams who need a local expert to guide them, which was the case here.

With an intimate knowledge of Antigua Guatemala, we crafted a personalized photography journey for the couple and their photographers. We carefully timed the shoot to avoid the midday heat and create a magical atmosphere for the sunset ceremony.

To make their day even more extraordinary, we secured permits to include a stop at the historic Santa Clara ruins.

There, Uxen Studio captured a truly unforgettable moment as Sam and Payton discovered this hidden gem from above with a stunning drone shot. Uxen Studio declared this to be their favorite wedding and couple EVER in their ten-year careers.

Final Words

Sam and Payton's wedding was a testament to love, individuality, and meticulous planning. As their wedding planner Guatemala, we are honored to have played a role in creating an unforgettable experience that reflected their personalities and the beauty of Antigua Guatemala. Use this as your sign to have all the beautiful details combined with a flawless experience, and to enjoy every moment without the stress weighing on your shoulders.
